Application Developer


This Application Developer will be responsible for working with management, Business Analysts, and/or business users in the maintenance, and support of business system applications using various techniques in a Windows environment. The Application Developer?s responsibilities will range from those of support, troubleshooting, training and application development of new or enhancements to existing software. The Application Developer will work closely with various co-workers and users alike engaging with operations on a technical level to provide continuous improvement and feedback to the operation of the systems, usability, and risk management.
This person must be able to understand complex systems and diagnose issues quickly for remediation and take a broad, cross-departmental view of the organization, understand transit, organizational and departmental policies, processes and procedures to leverage system capabilities and promote effective use of the enterprise applications to meet organization goals and needs.
Required Experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:




  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, degree or certificate from a computer trade school, or 3+ years Development Experience with Microsoft Windows applications and systems.


  • 3+ years working with SQL / Microsoft Environment



Required Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:




  • Proficient in VB.NET, C#, SQL, SSIS, SSRS


  • Proficient with Windows Operating Systems


  • Proficient in Visual Studios.


  • Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation a plus.


  • Understanding of Warehousing or Distribution is a plus.


  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


  • Problem Solving Skill


  • Works well in a Team Environment



Plusses:




  • Experience with Datex Footprint Environment a plus


  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  • Provide a Second/Third level of support for application users as required.


  • Develop documentation including Technical Design Documents and procedures to support operational needs


  • Debug application errors or bugs reported by members of the warehouse systems team.


  • Analyze Operational and Systems Process to find root cause of errors and correct.


  • Develop test scenarios for users / applications team for Quality assurance.


  • Complete software and system updates as needed or required.


  • Management, Maintain and Development of Web Application / C# Applications


  • Occasional afterhours support


  • Warehouse Automation Support and Development.


  • Development for New Clientele as needed.




 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
